Make the Fontana IGNES Status Flame 4bi MID the cooking centre of your outdoor kitchen. Four individually controlled main burners and a rear infrared rotisserie burner deliver 19.7 kW total rated heat input, with a motorised rotisserie included.
The Fontana Status 5bi MID built-in gas BBQ combines flexible grilling, rotisserie cooking and practical lighting in one outdoor kitchen appliance. From steaks and vegetables to larger joints cooked on the spit, it gives you several ways to cook outdoors.
Four main burners and a dedicated rear infrared burner provide 19.7 kW total rated heat input, while individual burner controls let you adjust the heat to suit your food.
Each main burner delivers 4.0 kW, providing a combined 16.0 kW across the main cooking area. Separate controls allow you to create different heat zones for cooking several foods at once.
Grill directly over the heat for steaks, burgers and vegetables, or arrange the burners for indirect cooking with the hood closed. This gives you the flexibility to move between quick grilling and gentler cooking for larger cuts.
The dedicated 3.7 kW rear infrared burner works with the supplied motorised rotisserie to turn food slowly as it cooks.
The included kit contains the motor, mounting bracket, spit rod, two forks, counterbalance, handle and securing screws. The rear burner also incorporates a thermocouple safety valve that stops its gas supply if the flame goes out.
Remove the warming rack when using the rotisserie burner, as directed in the manual.
Internal cooking lights illuminate the grilling area, while backlit control knobs make the controls easier to see as daylight fades.
The hood-mounted temperature gauge helps you monitor cooking temperature, and the warming rack keeps finished food away from the main grilling heat. A removable drip tray provides access for regular cleaning.
The manufacturer’s standard grill package does not include a gas hose or regulator. A cabinet, trolley, plancha or protective cover is not listed as part of the standard grill package; any additional bundle contents should be specified separately.

The Status 5bi MID comes with a 2-year general manufacturer’s warranty, with extended cover for specific components:

The five-year rotisserie warranty applies to the rear burner, rather than the complete motorised rotisserie kit. Plancha warranty coverage does not mean a plancha is included with the grill.
Warranty cover applies to manufacturing defects and is subject to Fontana’s terms, correct domestic use, installation, cleaning and maintenance. Retain your original proof of purchase.
Exclusions include normal wear and tear, damage caused by incorrect use or inadequate maintenance, unauthorised modifications and oxidation caused by prolonged exposure to marine environments. Bulbs, gaskets and other wear components are excluded except for manufacturing defects identified upon delivery.

Install the Status 5bi MID in a suitable outdoor kitchen enclosure, following the manual’s requirements for ventilation, clearances and non-combustible construction. Check the installation drawings before preparing your cabinet opening.
Use the gas type and supply pressure specified on the appliance’s rating plate. An electrical supply is required for the powered features.
Regularly clean the cooking surfaces, burners and drip tray according to the manual. Protect the grill from the elements and provide suitable shelter or protection during extended periods of inactivity.
